Catastrophic Flooding Sweeps Across Vermont
One of the worse storms of the century raged across Vermont on July 10, causing catastrophic damage. Thousands barely escaped the flood waters that swept across vast swaths of this rural northeast state in the US. People have barely had time to begin the grueling cleanup process when the weather service forecast more rain and potential flash floods in the next few days. The capital Montpelier has had swift rivers racing down all its main streets, and neighboring towns are just beginning to take stock of the loss of crops, roads, and homes.
Please help if you can. If you are in the area and would like to join one of the volunteer teams helping with clean up, let us know. If you can make a donation, funds will be used to provide aid to those most impacted.
