Overview
Abha Light Foundation advocates for the full recognition of alternative medicine within Kenya. Our mission is to create a permanent infrastructure for the establishment of homeopathy and complementary medicine. We educate traditional healers in modern sciences, train Kenyan alternative health providers, help to establish clinics throughout the country, and work with other groups to provide holistic locally based, and affordable health care.
Abha Light Foundation
Abha Light Foundation (ALF) has been working in villages throughout Kenya since 1998 to provide economically viable, affordable, and effective primary health care to the poor.
Abha Light is concerned with improving and maintaining the health of people using homeopathic and natural medicine through mobile and permanent health clinics. Homeopathy is nearly unknown in most parts of the African continent. Because of the high cost of conventional medicines in Kenya, that leave many without access, we provide alternative health solutions.
Children’s Health Care Initiative
Through our free program of children’s clinics, 15,000 children are seen annually. For the past 5 years, Abha Light has been growing its own spirulina for distribution to children in need. Spirulina is a type of algae that grows in fresh water. It is a rich source of many vitamins and minerals. Annually, about 6000 children benefit from the nutritional boost that spirulina provides.
Low Cost Clinics
Abha Light and its affiliates run 10 village clinics throughout Kenya, treating rural communities with affordable health care.
